Cristina Rivera is a Professional Freelance Make-Up Artist & Beauty Editor for “On the Avenue” Magazine. She specializes in Weddings, Photo Shoots, Fashion, Runway, Editorial, Television and Special Events. Her profession began as a life rehearsal as she immersed herself at a young age in everything that was available to her in the fashion and beauty industries.

Cristina initially began by freelancing at weddings and giving makeovers to her friends for “girls’ night out”. Working closely with photographers in her area, her portfolio grew and word began to spread about her expertise and strong belief that “the needs of her client were of the utmost importance”. As a result, most of her job opportunities directly resulted from word of mouth – the best advertisement and a true tribute to the satisfaction she delivers. A strong following grew; thus, “Glowing Faces” was born.

Cristina has served as MUA for Designer Henry N. Jackson, Harlem Week fashion kick off, Super Models Unlimited Magazine, “On the Avenue” Magazine, and many others. It is Cristina’s passion and pleasure to keep up-to-date with the latest looks and newest innovations in makeup and skin care, so that she may incorporate new techniques into her work. She has a big heart and this translates over to the way she deals with her clients and the beauty she delivers.
